Rediscover Singapore

As part of our history lesson thingie, we had to re-discover Singapore. for the past two weeks, we have been going to different places in Singapore and perhaps it was my love for photography, I thought I have some pretty beautiful pictures to share.

We went to Kranji War Memorial and this is the second time I have been here...

The entrance of the memorial, where those who fought bravely for Singapore died and are commemorated until today. Religious service are often being given at this site, at the requests of the relatives of those brave ones who sacrificed themselves.

One could take a peek at the memorial service book that's a sign-in guestbook for all those who visited here. Upon closer inspection, we realised great grand children of some of the people who died here, actualy visited the graves and displayed knick knacks in front of their tombstones.

tombstones are aligned in straight lines, different symbols are being engraved on their tombstones, signifying their rank, their religions etc.

Those tombstones laid out in rows greeting the main entrance are usually tombstones of the allied forces.

That's the cross of sacrifice but until today i dont know its significance.

Inscriptions commemorating the Gurhkas wh ofought bravely for the us.

that's the tombstone of one of our ex-presidents, Yusok Ishak at the presidents burial ground.
